Who is Gillian Fletcher?

Gillian Fletcher is a writer, immigrant, and creator of worlds both fictional and real. A chance encounter with a guard at the Tower of London sparked their debut novel and set them on a path to crafting stories where artificial intelligence clashes with human resilience, immigrant diaries explore the messy art of belonging, and queer-positive merch celebrates visibility in all its forms.

A few short years after that fateful moment, Gillian’s published work appears in Wrising Writers Magazine (Seven Story Publishing), The Metaworker Literary Magazine, Veritas Journal, and The Amazine. Their work spans the dystopian sci-fi of The Algorithm of Life, cozy mystery in The Lost & Foundry, and honest reflections on life abroad through Immigrant Hagelslag. Infused with whimsy, grit, and the kind of transparency that comes from rebuilding a life and career with intention, Gillian also tracked down that guard to hand him a copy of CALLED because kindness always deserves a reward.
